The Revd Ness Brunner-Ellis

Team Vicar

| Email
I arrived in the Witney Benefice as Team Vicar in September 2017. Prior to coming here I served my Curacy in Marshfield (Bristol Diocese) and during that time branched out sideways to take responsibility for a group of ten rural churches near Chippenham. My working life began as a musician in my teens, and following my first degree and a couple of postgrads in London and Glasgow freelanced as a Violinist, Pianist and Conductor. This rather oddly morphed into training as a Psychiatric Nurse in my late 20’s and then working for the NHS for nearly two decades in and around Bristol, mostly in community care of the mentally ill and specialising in several clinical areas. Moving to Witney is rather different to all of that, and it’s a joy. I love working in teams and encouraging others to explore their vocation and have a go at things. The Fleece on Church Green quickly became my HQ - but if I’m not in there you’re likely to find me either in Sainsbury’s, flying past you on my bike, or in the swimming pool. I’m also mum to two lively teenagers who I try to keep up with on a good day!
