Anna Chaplain for the Elderly

I have lived in Witney for over thirty years and have worshipped at St Mary’s since 2019. My first career was in teaching, but in 1998 I was offered a place at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford on the Diploma in Ministry Course, which took me in a new direction.I have been a spiritual director since 2004 and more recently I have worked as a volunteer at Sobell House Hospice and a ward chaplain at The Churchill Hospital. Other opportunities for ministry in the community have included The Archway Foundation (ministry to those experiencing loneliness), pioneer worker on a new estate, and Baptism Co-ordinator at a local church. I am an oblate of The World Community for Christian Meditation and am married to Lawrence. I enjoy choral singing, gardening, cooking and walking…. and time to be a Granny (I have three grandchildren!) I am greatly looking forward to the opportunity this new ministry offers - to become an advocate and support for older people in our local community.
