Laverne Williams

Youth Worker and Schools Chaplain

| Email
Hi, my name is Laverne Williams and I am from the West Midlands. I have recently been accepted for the post of Chaplaincy and Youth Worker within your stunning community of Witney. I have been working with young people for a number of years in a variety of capacities; including teacher mechanics (motor vehicle) to hard-to-reach students in the Birmingham area of the West Midlands (so if you ever need your brakes or spark plugs changing - look no further!). I LOVE the Lord and am thrilled to be able to work in a way that enables me to support, be creative, teach and learn from youth/young people/students in the community and so share and support what is being done within the community now. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. (Romans 12:4-5) I am absolutely thrilled to take up this new post (and a little nervous too). I’m delighted to embrace and become part of a community that earnestly seeks to be Christ-like, to disciple and spread the Good News, and I’m excited to be creative in doing so.
